Lilypad and friends craft sale pictures
This is "Simply Kaptured Photography" by Stephanie, along with her fabulous baking which was so beautifully packaged...she even had samples for people to try. Her photography is beautiful and she has made some amazing cards, gift tags, and magnets from them.
Next we have "Bum Buckets" and "Sock Critters" by Hilori. Her diapers are so great and are very affordable...it makes going the cloth route so do-able. I highly recommend contacting her if you are at all thinking about doing cloth diapers for your little one. I hope to finally get it right round 3 and do the cloth thing, and have happily already purchased a set of diapers from her. I can't wait to have a little babe to put them on! Her sock critters are also amazing...those lips get me every time.
Next we have "The Button Jar" by Michelle. Gorgeous dresses and shirts from repurposed and new fabrics, not to mention adorable dollhouses and barns. I am always amazed at how she puts patterns and colours together...beautiful! I hear rumors of aprons on the horizon too...be sure to check out her blog!

And finally, Lilypad! Jaimee and I worked hard to get a lot made before the sale and were both quite happy to see our creations go to good homes. We have now added shopping bags to our repertoire, not to mention burp cloths and fabulous crocheted baby loafers and maryjanes. Contact us to custom order a pair - you pick the colour and size! Our other popular items were slings (we had lots of mommies and tummies out and willing little babies to try out our slings), bibs, blankets, bags and diaper clutches. Another new item is personalized bean bags - makes a great, personal gift for children of all ages.

current projects
And this was a present for our little one-year-old buddy Isaac, Jaimee's adorable son. Six beanbags with a matching drawstring bag....jpg)
And I just posted 4 more blankets on our Etsy site, so go check it out! Jaimee and I are planning a craft sale for March 28th at my place, from about noon-5pm, along with some other fellow crafters so stay tuned for more details! And if you know some crafty women that would like to be a part of our day, let me know!!Saturday, February 21, 2009
a bag, a clutch and a bunch of shopping bags
First, a diaper clutch with some fabric I've been wanting to do something with for a while.

A bag for a new friend and neighbour, expecting a baby any day!!

And finally, Jaimee and I have been working on making 40 re-usable shopping bags as guest favors for a wedding...the fabric is fantastic and after sewing many of these bags already, I'm still not sick of it. I won't post pictures until after her wedding, in case, by chance, someone stumbles across this, but I will say that you will be seeing these bags on etsy at some point, so stay tuned! Maybe not in the fabric she sent us, from Japan, but for sure in other fabric. It's such a fun idea and a beautiful wedding favor and I am so glad to be able to do this for her! Anyway, yes, I am still sewing... :)Sunday, January 25, 2009
a bag and a new project

And so, with the leftover fabric I started working on my second prototype for a re-useable shopping bag. It rolls up into a little bundle and this one does up with a button. Nifty, hey?
