has it really been a year since my last post?

Despite the lack of posts, there has been a whole lot of sewing going on still around here. The following is a sampling of the last year's projects, but sadly, I have lost the drive to take pictures each time, so many things have gone out into the world without being documented. Some pretty fabric deserves recognition though, so a few pictures of some faves have been recorded. Here goes!
Toddler bib: Some roll-up totes

One of about 7 diaper bag orders I had this winter:

Another diaper bag:

And then there were the angry birds. They were too cute to resist.

the pigs!

the first three I made

Luke's Christmas present: a rocket. He begged me to make this for him as it was in my "One Yard Wonders" book and he would often leave it open to this page, hinting.

Attempt #2 at doll-making: Anna's Christmas doll. I think I'm done with dolls...
Wall-hanging organizer for my amazingly talented friend, Julia. We did a swap, a cake for an organizer. I love swapping talents!

Lilypad and friends November open house:

Rosenort Days, last summer: (I made the bunting for our church's day camp and it's come in handy a few times!)

hobo lunch sacks, so cute

taggy blocks

kid apron, cute kid not included

I should also mention that my sewing room has been much more enjoyable to work in, ever since my amazing sister-in-law Shannon helped me organize it. Here it is, before and after, on her blog.
Ahhh...some other favourite projects of the year include a shirt and a dress for Anna (maybe I'll get around to posting them sometime), a zigzag quilt that I'm still working on, now at the basting stage, a new style of tote that I think I'm going to start making, crochet-hook holders, hot pad and coasters...always something new on the brain! Now that I'm somewhat caught up, maybe I'll be more inspired to post projects here. No promises, the spring air calls louder than the sewing machine these days...
